- Description: Colin Angus is a Canadian adventurer and author, the first person to complete a self-propelled circumnavigation of the globe, using exclusively human power - walking and cycling on land, rowing on water - completed in May 2006. As part of the circumnavigation, Angus and his then fiancée Julie Wafaei made the first rowboat crossing of the Atlantic Ocean from mainland Europe to mainland North America. Among his other expeditions: the first descent of the Yenisei River; a complete descent of the Amazon River from source to sea (1999); and a 7,000 km (4,350 miles) journey from Scotland to Syria by rowboat and bicycle (2008)
