Introduced as an English surgeon and sailor born in 1661, Gulliver narrates his astonishing adventures: he is shipwrecked in Lilliput, land of the tiny; brought to Brobdingnag, the realm of giants; visits Laputa, the floating island of obsessive scientists; and finally reaches the land of the Houyhnhnms, rational horses living without deceit, opposed to the brutish Yahoos.
