We curate content with close attention to sources (precise citations, links to Wikidata) to offer an experience that is accessible yet methodologically rigorous, despite a subject that is fluid and difficult to delimit. Today the site brings together over a thousand records and references, and continues to grow thanks to community submissions and collaborations with enthusiasts, scholars, archives, and institutions.
