Vaillancourt Fred E. (w2731)

Description: Fred E. Vaillancourt was a legless globe-trotter who relied on a two-wheeled cart and, in winter, a sled pulled by two dogs. In the numerous postcards he published to self-finance, he referred to himself as "Legless Advertising Dog Team - Former Grand Trunk RR Brakeman - General Advertising Dog Team Former". He lost both legs in 1907 while working as a brakeman for the railways
