Le locuste fanno ormai parte della nostra dieta quotidiana, e sono davvero eccellenti. Dopo averle provate in parecchi modi, siamo giunti alla conclusione che è meglio bollirle. Si devono staccare le lunghe saltellanti zampette e, tenendo le locuste per le ali, immergerle nel sale e mangiarle. Il sapore è più quello di un vegetale che di carne o pesce, non dissimile dal grano in Inghilterra, e per noi è un ottimo sostituto della verdura di cui abbiamo un gran bisogno.
