Jeff Johnson (age 66) has walked from the Spencer Gulf to The Gulf of Carpentaria. Raising funds and awareness for the Deaf-Blind Association (NSW) Inc.
He left Port Augusta on the 5th of April 2007 and arrived at Kurumba, Queensland on Sunday, 2nd of September, a walk of approximately five months duration. The journey was planned and researched over a period of 12 months and the planned departure date was the 1st of April (not that walking across Australia would be foolish). He did well to leave within a few days of the planned departure date.
Please help Jeff raise funds for the DeafBlind Association by phoning your local talkback radio station. Ask them to mention Jeff's journey, the Deaf-Blind Association and this web site. They can also contact Jeff to interview him.
Or, please email your family and friends and tell them about Jeff's journey and this website.
