- Description: In a commemorative postcard, Massimo Leuret claimed to be undertaking a 60,000-kilometer (37,282 miles) journey around the world. According to Libera Stampa (January 7, 1921), he departed from Geneva on January 1, 1914, cycling across Germany, Russia, Siberia, Japan, and later through the South American republics. He reached France at Le Havre on November 30, 1920. The journey took place under the auspices of the Swiss Touring Club, which stipulated that he could only travel on foot or by bicycle across the continents. During the Atlantic crossing from New York to Le Havre, he worked for the Compagnie Transatlantique to finance his passage. Upon his arrival in Nice, he expected to be back in Geneva within six weeks, thereby completing a world tour that lasted seven years and covered 60,000 km (37,282 miles)

- Description: Hannes Lindemann was a German adventurer and physician renowned for his extraordinary feats of solo navigation. His most remarkable crossing occurred in 1956 when he decided to tackle the Atlantic in a small rowboat, becoming one of the first explorers to undertake such an endeavor without the aid of sails. Setting off from the African coast, Lindemann sailed for over 72 days, covering thousands of miles to reach the Caribbean islands. During the journey, he faced fierce storms, giant waves, and solitude, sustaining himself mainly on a diet of fish caught at sea and collected rainwater for drinking
