Description: Charles Cecil Fitzmorris’s career began early, when in 1900 he won a round-the-world trip in a contest and a job as a "super" office boy at the Evening American, an afternoon newspaper. He departed from Chicago and, after 60 days, 13 hours and 20 minutes, returned to the city, completing his journey around the world and setting a new travel record
