Archambeau Olivier (w1657)

  • Description: Olivier and Hervé Archambeau, together with Denis Gittard, embarked on a world tour in 1990 and 1991, tracing the steps of the first geographical photographers. They endeavored to rediscover locations captured in the autochromes of the 1920s, utilizing advanced Earth observation techniques, including Spot satellites and an ULM for aerial photography. Over the course of 613 days, they covered 157'000 kilometers, consuming 23'000 liters of diesel, with 4'200 hours behind the wheel and a range of 3'500 kilometers.
