Beker Ana (w1698)

Beker Ana (w1698)

  • Description: Ana Beker, an Argentine born to Lithuanian immigrants and a lifelong equestrian, was inspired by a lecture from Aimé Felix Tschiffely, who famously rode from Buenos Aires to New York. Tschiffely, known as "Chifeli," detailed his 10'000-mile journey through varied terrains in the New World with his horses Mancha and Gato. Beker, after meeting Tschiffely, shared her own ambitious plan to ride from Argentina to Ottawa, Canada, covering 17'000 miles. Despite Tschiffely's skepticism about her success due to her gender, Beker remained undaunted. However, her journey faced tragedy when her two horses, Principe and Churrito, died in Bolivia
