Schwarzenbach Annemarie (w2492)
- Description: In the 1930s, Annemarie Schwarzenbach participated in several archaeological excavation campaigns in Iran and Syria. She published numerous articles about her travels in the United States; in 1939, she accompanied Ella Maillart on a long car journey that took them to India, passing through Iran and Afghanistan. She died on September 6, 1942, following a bicycle accident. In 2025, the Executive Board of UNESCO approved the inclusion of the archives of writers Annemarie Schwarzenbach and Ella Maillart in the international “Memory of the World” Register
